Current Research Interests

I am working with Dr. John Tyson (Biological Sciences Department), Dr. Cliff Shaffer (Computer Science Department), and Dr. Alida Palmisano (Postdoctoral Fellow, Biological Sciences Department) on the modeling of biological systems. My current research involves developing software to support the construction of large molecular network models from components. This modeling approach allows us to build large models by combining together smaller modules, making them easier to comprehend.

My research interests include computational biology, software development, systems biology, bioinformatics, and modeling and simulation.

[Abstract] [Article]

I am from Powhatan, VA. When not working, I like to watch movies, listen to music, and attempt to cook. I also try to enjoy watching Virginia Tech athletic events (although painful at times) and I always enjoy having good times with good friends.
